  • First prize in the Delvin Garradrimna Book Fair Short Story Competition. The story was published in the Westmeath Examiner

  • Short story shortlisted from 2,500 submissions from 48 countries. The story is published in the Aesthetica Creative Writing Annual 2014

  • Shortlisted in the Francis McManus Short Story competition 2013

  • Short story accepted by Crannog, to be published in Crannog 33, the summer edition. Invited to the launch of the magazine to read my story in The Crane Bar, Galway on Friday 28th June

  • Short story placed in the Rome Short Story, and included in the eAnthology, '7 Stories About Italian Women'

  • Invitation by Debbz Hobbs-Wyatt of Bridge House Publishing to write and contribute a short story for the 'Save the Rhino' project. Anthology to be published later this year, with all profits going to charity

  • Short story shortlisted in the Wells Festival of Literature 12th - 20th October 2012 Competition

  • Short story shortlisted in the Over the Edge New Writer of the Year Contest 2012

  • Flash fiction piece accepted by Greysparrow Press in their winter flash 2012 competition. Winter issue scheduled for release January 1st 2013

  • Nominated by Deborah Mcmenamy of Labello Press for the Pushcart Prize for his story 'For the Children'

  • Short story merited with writing4all's 'A Small, Good Thing Short Story Competition', June 2012

  • Three pieces among thirty longlisted in the Grey Sparrow Journal's Inaugural flash fiction competition; one of the three made it to the top five and received an Honourable Mention. July 2012
